Julio C. Marino
In 1972, Mr. Marino opened his own gallery, Galeria Contemporanea, housing a large open showroom as well as a framing and restoration workshop. In addition to his work, Mr. Marino continued to develop his own unique artistic style, experimenting and combining different media and techniques. In 1977, Mr. Marino became a founding member of the Association of Gallerists of Uruguay and was appointed Commissioner to the Sao Paolo Biennial Exhibition. In 1993, he opened an art school in his gallery. Since 1998, Mr Marino has resided mainly in Washington, DC, where he has been actively involved in the art world, both as a professional as well as a prolific painter and avid art collector.
